Got a good deal on a Hamilton Field Day Date on ebay.
Looking for a nice leather strap, is WatchGecko good? Thinking suede would be nice.

WatchGecko
They're good quality, but I find their straps really quite long. I don't have the biggest wrists but I'm always on the bottom two holes.

So this - https://www.rolex.org/ - just turns out to be some fairly basic content marketing, unless I'm missing something.

It’s been a few days since I posted something about flags. Just received this bright orange perlon from China. Was gonna go on one of the other watches, but for now I really like it against the blue dial.

Can anyone advise? I've got a Seiko Sports 5 Military and need to get some new strap pins but don't have the watch with me - I'm pretty sure the Nato strap is 22mm - can I get away with 20mm pins (all the place has in stock) or do I definitely need 22mm pins?

You'll need 22mm. I have loads of spares you can have if you'd like.

Got a 70s seamaster cosmic 2000 automatic.
Just had it serviced so it’s all running nicely. How many times should I wind it? Is it possible to overwind it/ damage it?
Cheers -
• #31821
Until you feel resistance - probably about 30-40 turns from fully unwound. If you're wearing it you obviously won't need to wind it at all.

Lost the link, but myth or otherwise most autos aren’t meant to be hand-wound so better to wear it for a short while with a nervous twitch, before setting the date/time. Anything that nice should only need a few good swings of the rotor to get going. Never hand wind or set time whilst it’s on your wrist or you stress the crown/stem in the movement.

They must have some budget to use up, all over my Insta. Quite like the Intra Matic Auto Crono though:
Quite enjoy that broadway-musical-style advert for Accurist. Not gonna buy one, but it beats being told I’m only ever looking after a watch for someone else.
