OK, right. No. I get the naan thing.

I'm genuinely asking why amey considers the tautology inherent in 'naan bread' to be the 'same' as the (mis?)use of the term 'chai latte'.

Chai latte is just a made up thing by Starbucks marketing department.
Bit like chicken tikka masala was made up... But we love it now.
Can't really see the similarity tbh tho.
