Is there a knack/any particular technique for wiring up rear dynamo lights from the front around the fork/frame transition?

Is anyone selling a Supernova E3 Dynamo Tail Light 2 with the seatpost fitting? Just thought I would check before buying a new one.
Also, bikester are selling E3 Pro 2 lights super cheap. It's a German company but free shipping over £100 and £10 off the first order when you sign up to the mailing list.
I just bought a black one, but also accidentally bought a grey one, so if anyone wants it before I return it (free returns) then you can have it for what I paid including the £10 discount, so £112.99

Could be, what made you go for the E3 Pro over the E3 Triple?
-
• #1980
Damn, did I get the wrong one? What’s the difference?
-
• #1981
The Triple is the non Germany legal one.
Just had a quick comparison, looks like the Pro is about 1/2 the lumen of the Triple.
But you've picked it up at about half the price....
I'll probably pass having compared them but will consider it some more. -

Managed a pitch black non-technical off road yesterday with my B&M IQ-X. Fantastic light!
(I know I need to reroute the cable for the rear).

Indeed. Perhaps this is a wee bit off-topic, but at least it mounts under or above an IQ-X (E): https://www.bike24.de/p1246833.html?q=hupe
Mine´s going to be hooked up to a Forumslader (nominal 12v DC), but B&M specify from 6V so perhaps this would work simply with a cheap rectifier. Folks more familiar with the behavioural patterns of angry pixies could perhaps step in and clarify.

It has been slowly dawning on me that it makes sense to have a dynamo system on my 'everything' bike, I appreciate that this stuff is low-rent and my expectations are suitably in check but are there any alternatives for @ £75 for a whole set up?:

If you´re willing to rebuild your wheel (assuming 32-hole but Benner do have 36-hole hubs as well) you could get these bits for about 70 quid delivered:

https://www.rosebikes.de/dt-swiss-champion-speiche-47697 (x2 for 40 spokes)

FML. Almost 2 months waiting for my warranty return to Bike Discount to be processed-apparently B+M have a huge back log. Not fucking surprised... In the meantime I don't want to buy another incase they only offer me credit or something. Shite.

You can get dynamo wheels (26 or 700) from Decathlon for £30. They're rim brake only and only single walled rims but its still a good deal.

Thanks, I’ve actually just found a front light in a box, and that’s the hub I wanted anyway. £40 inc rear light, let’s see what it’s like!

New Dynamo light from K-lite based at the offroad bikepacking crowd - anyone tried one?
At £219 it's a lot less than a Sinewave Beacon!https://bearbonesbikepacking.blogspot.com/2018/11/k-lite-bikepacker-ultra-if-it-aint.html

• #1990
Interesting but looks likebl the dynamo is an add on for another £125 - which makes the prices a lot more comparable?
-
• #1991
Does anyone know what size range of tyres can be fitted to the Decathlon 700 dynamo wheels? I guess they're quite wide so you need to fit tyres 35mm or larger?
-
• #1992
oh yes, good catch. damn
-
• #1993
Its currently buried under a bunch of other wheels but a rough measurement is 19mm internal width.
No guarantee they're all the same rim though.

Is the Supernova E3 triple the go to for maximum light?
Anyone know the difference between the 1st and now 2nd one? -
• #1995
Triple is not road legal
-
• #1996
You and your rules!
But in the middle of nowhere it’s what you want right? -
• #1997
Is there a road legal system for bicycle lights in the UK? I thought it was a German standard they generally abide by
-
• #1998
As far as I’m aware

Triple is not road legal
In Germany

Now that’s sorted.
E3 triple vs E3 triple 2 much difference??
The Spanninga lights I mentioned have excellent side visibility. In fact, side visibility was a selling point when Philips launched the Saferide range back in the day.
