  • most importantly - what guards?

  • I already have some 45mm hammered ones so those even though they’ll look out of place. Fork doesn’t have a drilled crown I think though

  • Once its summer you'd want a fast mountain bike.

  • Check

    excuse the compost bin

  • 56 frame right? How much steerer is left?

  • 56 indeed.
I never chopped it so slammed on the 30mm conical spacer but I have a tester bearing cover so 25mm or so adjustment available

  • I've been ummin' and ahhin' about this for months. I really didn't need it tho so glad it's gone to a good home.

    Inspo :

  • Got that picture saved!
As was I, messaged the seller expecting it to be gone but it wasn’t to my surprise

  • I've been searching ages for one of these! Have to say, I don't agree with the one bike feeling, man needs stupid fast road summer bike and sensible thing for winter, cross, touring or whatever

  • Ting

  • FWIW I found it long compared to other “56” sized frames but that may be partly because I used longer bars than on all my other builds.

  • They do end up a bit longer.
At the risk of hijacking, @LeMesjeu I'm soon to be selling a 54 having moved to a 52.
CAAD12 Disc with ultegra hydro and hunt alu wheelset. Fork is cut down, only about 10mm showing.

  • “Parts bin” build. Right mish mash at the moment but essentially Red22 shifters and rear mech older red cranks 1x, hed Ardennes, zipp stem. Currently Deda superzero bars but will swap in Zipps as aero bars don’t really suit this. China carbon post will hopefully swap out for cockpit matching one.
Fat tyres and mudguard bodge to come

  • 30mm g one speed ready to go on if the chubbies are too fat for guards. Frame does fit 42c with tight clearance though

  • You always seem to get a good bargain I’m curious what you got the HED for?

  • 2 hundred quid for the pair brand new

  • They were taken off a new Cervelo in a bike shop so not strictly brand new but they were never ridden on.

  • Going to pass, proper fit would need a negative 17 degree stem and would look rank. Pity!

  • That’s a shame, no worries. Any other frames in mind?

  • Love the Hed wheels dude

  • Quick spin this morning says it’s great. Wasn’t sure if I’d feel it was too much compromise between my 2 current bikes but apart from the weight, feels very much like the caad. It’s lively, steering is more nimble than the arkose. Suspect it will feel a bit more chill with 42 rather than 28c tyres but so far pretty pleased. And I haven’t bought anything for this frame yet, it’s basically the caad build but with the cranks and saddle from the arkose.
As long as I can bodge guards on for wet days like today, I reckon I’m good to sell the other frames.
