• yep I saw that frame, nice, just not a big enough brand. I recently listed Trevor Jarvis and Steve Goff lo pro frames on there, £175 each, Columbus Max forks etc, real quality, and they got no attention at all for weeks. English frames just don’t cut it financially, unless you have a Hetchins, and they all go to men in their 60s reliving their youth. That age group that have kept the English market alive have now stopped buying as retirement looms, next year will see another year of price drops for 70s Italian too, younger buyers want younger frames, groupsets and big brands

  • Trouble us Hetchins is overrated...the or are lugs look like a wrought iron gate and the curly rear stays were a successful marketing ploy. Ron Cooper frames are works of a master...but no doubt there is truth in what you say as seen by my inability to sell it either on here or eBay. (Not helped by the skinny wheels).

  • sorry to say it but price is too high, if I ebayed this it would be £160-175, I don’t think its the tyres, I think its the brand, it only appeals to Brits, and as a seasoned seller, Brits are the tightest buyers on Ebay, its the same with Jumbles and fayres, loads of old blokes looking for a bargain, Brits would rather have loads of cheap bikes than one or two really good ones. I guess I will be in for it saying this, but its the truth
