To be fair, they are rare. I could only find another three for sale.

Finding old bits, polishing them and gold plating them, very classy. There's a couple of guys doing that now.
8500 is probably not a serious price. Lots of vendors post silly prices but take much lower offers.
It's just a starting point for haggling.Supposed Big Mig bike probably would not sell here because most members use bikes as things to ride on, not wall hangers. Alleged Kessels riders excepted.

I've got a vinyl cutter at work anyone wants "M.Indurain" for their bike.
If it came with a bag of his blood it might help the sale.

One off M Indurain's bikes now own by Bradley Wiggins was in sigma sports window .

How about a slightly bloody plaster. I can put it in a bag if that helps?

Has this sold?
-
• #117
Hang on, is the implication that the OP actually IS Big Mig?
-

If it came with a bag of his blood it might help the sale.
Weren't they all destroyed by the Spanish govt?

Trouble us Hetchins is overrated...the or are lugs look like a wrought iron gate and the curly rear stays were a successful marketing ploy. Ron Cooper frames are works of a master...but no doubt there is truth in what you say as seen by my inability to sell it either on here or eBay. (Not helped by the skinny wheels).

sorry to say it but price is too high, if I ebayed this it would be £160-175, I don’t think its the tyres, I think its the brand, it only appeals to Brits, and as a seasoned seller, Brits are the tightest buyers on Ebay, its the same with Jumbles and fayres, loads of old blokes looking for a bargain, Brits would rather have loads of cheap bikes than one or two really good ones. I guess I will be in for it saying this, but its the truth

Not sure many will disagree with you: Us Brits do love a bargain and we like collecting things.
When I was selling vintage stuff on eBay several years ago they almost always ended up going overseas and it wasn’t always because the exchange rate was better. -
• #122
If I think the seller is who I think he is, is he clearing out his collection?
-
• #123
yes for sure, all the C Record stuff goes abroad pretty much, and also the ‘ fashion’ ( horrible description but an accurate one ) has changed, more late 80s early 90s now, the 70s market is dead, a different Gen of buyers I guess
-
• #124
not completely clearing, but definitely making some space, and still searching and finding, this Post being a recent discovery
