i could use the carbon fork from the equilibrium if i wanted to use it in road mode - 32mm max tyre size, then switch in the metal fork for fatter tyres with guards for winter/adventures/etc.
if i'm being honest with myself, i should probably reduce my bikes by a couple, but i do so love them all...

Lifes too short to not have another bike on the list .

There was, and still is....

although technically not another bike, just a frame transplant...

What’s the opinion of the 2019 Croix de Fer 20? I see that the frame has been redesigned - is it any lighter? I’ve had a look for the weight (I’m torn between this and Kepler Disc) but I can’t find the info anywhere

That's a good looking Ribble

Building something else, otherwise the steel ribble would have been a contender. looks good for that price!

Both bikes will weight a tonne. If you're worried about weight you should look something different

Think the 30 has thru axles and flat mount but all others except ti and 853 frameset as previously i.e. qr and is mount. A missed opportunity perhaps?
The 725 ribble looks good I have to say

Im thinking about buying that ribble 725, seems a fairly decent do it (mostly) all. Possibly not too heavy either with a few upgrades, 2.7kg f+f... Looks pretty nice too I think, the AL looks weird

Kepler disc is 10.5 and last year’s Genesis was 12kg.
I know they’ll be heavy but I’d rather it was at the lower end of those two points.
Sorry, should have made that clearer - def not looking for a weight weenie

Cdfs are cool, id buy a kepler.

• #6389
very short headtube though..
-
• #6390
Geometry look near identical to the old one, weight always going to be heavy.
Bear in mind the thru axle one have the biggest changes.

• #6391
It's old school. Long and low, even with the slacker headtube.

What'st the general opinion as to what would be the better bike?
I'll mainly be using it for long rides on the road and country tracks.
I've never had a gravel bike before so am a bit clueless.

Very much a personal preference of which look good to you, you'll be happy with either.

Edit: Ignore me, wasn't following properly :)
Id get the Brother with carbon fork though..

Love my Kepler - only shame is the Tubus Tara doesn't fit perfectly without having to reverse the horizontal arms.

I have been thinking about getting an Open recently, as I very much miss having a gravel bike since i sold my Talbot. But now I'm very tempted by one of theose new Ribble arbon gravel thingies. The full Sram 1x full build is only £100 more than my trade price on an Open UP.
Seems like very good VFM.Does anyone know if Ribble do trade accounts? Cant find any info.

Ribble do their own stuff so they don't have trade account to my knowledges, also there's a lots more choice than just the Ribble, I'd spend some time going through the internet and finding one that offer the best bang for your buck.
