Did my best steerer extension after work today. There is different thoughts on this. Whether it is safe or not... I feel it is. I haven't had one break on me yet.
This one is for @spotter who already has rubber teeth so it won't matter too much.
I've built steering columns for race cars using sleeved joints like that. OK, they're not load-bearing in the same way a fork steerer is, but they're pretty heavily loaded and I've never had one fail yet. Always a first time, mind you.
