I had it serviced by an independent repairman, down in Sussex. Cost about £200 if I remember correctly. Seems pretty expensive to me. But at least it now runs beautifully.

ordered a brass shark diver in 40mm... looking forward to it (I have ~7inch wrists, and the 42 looks like a monster!)

Has anyone seen one of these in the flesh, quite tempted for the price?

That the one instax gram keeps trying to hawk?

I have a very similar model in blue languishing at the back of the watch drawer. Needs a new battery.
What do you want to know?

Generally is it any good (pretty vague I know). Does it feel/look a bit cheap, how big does it wear? Cheers

Killing time in Hatton Garden, is there a friendly shop where I can look at / try on a few different seikos with absolutely no intention of buying or indeed means to pay?

Missed this. Current pic of the watch attached.
How does it feel? Well it not as nice as my Steinharts, not as much heft. It is beefy though and quite tall.
I like it but have not worn it in forever. You are welcome to try it on if you are in SE London.

Thinking about selling the ProTrek, it’s a PRW-2500 I believe.
As yet no damage to the crystal and just a couple of rub marks on the bezel mostly between NW and E. Original rubber strap is in the box, will put it back on.
I really love it but it just doesn’t get worn. For the most part it sits on the window to act as my morning alarm and weather monitor...!
Got the whole box (inner and outer), manual, original receipt.
Hmmmmmm

Which one ? My Pan Europ only lost about 10 seconds in over a month on a winder. My Seiko on same winder lost 5 minutes!

If anyone wants this for £125 posted special delivery within the UK let me know. Pretty sure rrp was like £350.
Casio Pro Trek PRW-2500. I looked on ebay, someone wants £125 for a busted up one so this price should be fair...

The 2018 Khaki Field. This guy. I believe the ETA 2801-2 inside is the hand wound version of a 2824.

I have the Expedition Scout, same colour scheme w/ the gunmetal colour brass case on black leather strap.
Build quality is good, I would say it punches above its weight for the price. The leather strap on mine looks and feels decent too, so I'd say the strap on the one you posted didn't feel of similar quality.
Can't speak for any chronograph functionality but the quartz movement is notably loud (common to Timex's I believe). I can hear it whilst wearing it in a quiet room and can hear it on the other side of the room if I forget to put it in a drawer before going to bed.

Just got my Helson Shark Diver (Brass) in 40mm. I'm on the fence about the size, but was worried the 42mm would be massive due to the lugs. Still really like the watch itself, and at $295 can't complain at all!

What's it do? I'm keen
Yeah I'm a big fan of the new Turtles and the dial on that is great. The new STO one coming next year (SBDY027) is the same dial/bezel but it comes on the steel bracelet and the whole thing is PVD coated black (or dark grey).
