I live in Finland.
I've been offered an electric fatbike near-new for less than half what they cost new.
Should I buy it.

Frame looks gappy and how long will the battery last at -20? Not long I’d guess

'Gappy'?

Also apparently -20C means battery performance of 60%. A significant reduction, but apparently the battery is good for 35km, and it's unlikely I'd want to be out on the bike doing those kind of miles at -20!

If anyone is interested and gets to me before I change my mind... I might be persuaded to sell my Surly Pugsley as a rolling chassis.
It has literally just had a brand new blast and clear coat to the frame, forks, and bars... Selling those, plus hope headset, thomson stem, thomson post, front wheel, rear wheel, both with nate tyres, and front and rear brake. Just needs drivetrain and saddle really to be a damn nice fatty.
Size is approx 18" (med) but I can take proper measurements if needed.
Looking for £650 for all the above.
PM me if interested.

I thought you wanted to go slow? Slicks will be way too fast!

I do, but I still wouldn't want pointless vibrations from riding knobbies on the road.

Want.
Seriously though, wtf is that bike for?

Was thinking it would make riding through nasty terrain a piece of cake, so I could ride into town when there's heavy snow in my civvies without breaking a sweat.
I recall commuting in snow with an mtb here a few years ago, and my usual 30 minute commute suddenly took 1h 20m with lots of loss of traction and torque. An efatbike would certainly make things easier.

I'm selling bikes so I DON'T have to sell studio stuff! :)
-
• #723
Indeed you can... And you should. :)

I'm moving work again soon and I'm already struggling, I'd then have to find space for the bike I've been storing here, plus I still haven't got anywhere with the ultra bike rebuild.

Why would anyone possibly need two MPCs?
Tri-spokes make compelling sense with tubeless.
