In an ideal world, this would be one of the more "roady" ones.

There was a Pacer posted a few weeks back on the ebay finds thread, the seller still has it and the frame is pretty beat up. Listed as a 54 but was a 52

Thanks for offering. From what I read on the internets, the Fratello takes tyres up to 28mm, which would be a bit smaller than what I'd aim for, ie over 32 + mudguards if possible.

I think you can run 32s without guards.

He muttered something about not worth posting for what it sold for. The frame was pretty much scratched and chipped all over, and was a 52 not a 54 as advertised. I suggested he grabbed a cardboard box from Halfords around the corner and post using paisley freight or similar

Since then I’ve fitted a bottom bracket and chainset, bars, filled out one of the dropouts that had an odd fill in, fitted some new Tektro v brakes and a single speed wheelset and new chain.

I had the old u brake removed and v brake mounts fitted on the seatstays by Stayer cycles.

So, it’s basically ready to ride as a single speed, with one issue. Stayer need to re space the rear v brake mounts as they are too close together. They have offered to do this at no charge if needed it just needs taking up there (Leyton).

I’ve sort of run out of time on this project.

My spend to date is
£25 on frame as above
£35 on v brake bosses (to be adjusted)
£20 Tektro v brakes
£8 new wipperman chain
Plus about £50 worth of secondhand bits I had here

It needs dropping back to Stayer and cabling
