• If it’s a Speedy you really want, pass on this. Saving is tough but it’s tougher when you keep rinsing the fund! When I saved getting over the £1k mark made me much less likely to impulse buy another £300 watch.
    I chose a Ti Seiko for my 21st Birthday (not exactly a future classic) and in the last 18 years it’s become a total beater, scratched to shit and the bracelet is very stretched which they’re prone to do. Still my go to garage/welding/gardening watch.

  • I do really want a Speedy but I've kind of resigned myself to the fact if I'm this cautious about spending $600ish on a watch, I'd drive myself to the brink of despair on a multiple thousand dollar watch. At the same time I feel like once I got one, I'd never have to look at another watch for the rest of my life, which in my current line of thinking, would be great for my sanity.
