I’m tentatively looking for a size 56 Vitus 979 frame set - is there anything out there? 55 or 57 could also be of interest.

it’s not a 979 but I’ve a purple anodised Futural cross ive built up as a single speed that is around that size[in workshop so would need to measure exactly],built up for my students but no real interest so need to shift for cheap as they say,Stef

Yes I've got one. I bought it new in 1987 from Rory O Brien in Romford. Strong light headset, BB and matching seatpin.

It's been hanging up in my garage for a while (along with a host of other bikes that I can't bear to get rid of). PM me for details as I really should let it go to someone who'll ride it.
