  • Predictions for Bellew vs Usk

  • usk easy ud?

  • Bellew could barely beat a hobbling around on one leg Haye.

  • Who almost no one thought would win either...
I’m by no means a Bellew fan and people seem to have glossed over just how comprehensively Stevenson beat him, that said he’s very competitive and always willing.
If Usk gets an early rhythm could see a stoppage. If not I feel anything could happen.

  • Good finish. He wasn't going to get up from that.

  • He was a wobbling mess before he took those shots on the chin. No defence whatsoever. For his own good I hope Bellew doesn’t reconsider his retirement.

  • Seems crazy Usk wants AJ....

Also can’t believe Burns is still going! Not sure there is a nicer guy around boxing.

  • Usyk wants the AJ payday but he's got little chance of beating him. AJ is 25% heavier than him, bigger, stronger, longer reach and he's so fast.

It'd be pretty easy to beat him up using only his jab.

  • There's a good chance Fury will beat Wilder.

Yeah, he's knocked a lot of fighters out but he's not been near anyone in their prime. This is the reality of all boxers though. They just dodge the hard fights. He's only taken the Fury fight because he thinks Fury is weak and old. He might get surprised.

  • Usyk did a pretty good job of boxing circles around Joe joyce who must be a similar size to AJ. To be fair Joyce does look like he moves in slow motion though…

  • The big question is what’s left of Fury.
If the last two and a bit years haven’t ruined his body I’d expect him to beat Wilder and AJ.
AJ’s footwork isn’t all that. Wilder struggles with those with boxing IQ. His reach is crazy though.
I’m hoping Fury Wilder goes on to fight AJ because the beauty of heavyweight is one punch can change it all.

  • Nah, Usyk can beef up nicely to heavyweight only have to look at E. Holyfield (Beating Buster Douglas) and D. Haye (beating the 7'1 Valuev)moving up a division to fight and do very well by winning the titles. The height is more the problem but on skill and movement Usyk could and would give him problems would make for an exciting fight. I wouldn't say Anthony Joshua is fast, I reckon he's more explosive then 10rnds of "quick" movement left right which is what Usyk would bring to the Ring. Just have to wait and see.

    edit
sidenote: He will obviously have to fight a few guys in the top 10before he gets a chance at Joshua or the man still holding the world titles.

  • @Bw You somewhat contradict yourself there with your examples.
Also I don’t think Holyfield put on weight when going in to the heavyweight division.

I’d agree though that skill>power or size. Hence why we have multiple weight world champions.

As for the route Usk would take to AJ, as unified CW champ he surely has to be around top ten HW ranking, AJ could respectfully fight a top 10 rank fighter.

All that said I can’t see him beating AJ.

  • Usyk prolly fair no better than Povetkin if met AJ. Would expect a simar if not easier outcome.

As fo the Gypsy King. He an Mayweather shud have there own belt. The running round the ring avoiding boxing belt. 😎

  • Yea I should’ve said AJ doesn’t have a constant High pace Whereas Usyk does.
Also think AJ would win. The fighting of guys in top 10 would be a good feeler for him to go for it properly as I don’t think he wants a big payday @Señor_Bear. He doesn’t strike me as that kinda person based on his interviews.

  • Bivol fight tonight - can’t see anyway it goes outside of three rounds

  • What does this guy know 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • Anyone up following the fight?

What I’d give for Charlie Z to be leading Fury’s ring walk. That’d be a master stroke surely. Sadly can’t see it happening.

  • Yes watching the fight. Decent first round, Fury doesn't look too rusty.

  • Not sure how the judges are scoring fights. Boxing has a real problem. Wilder had two knock downs but was way behind on almost every score card I've seen.

  • Split decision draw my Arse......

Despite the two knock downs ( and how the fuck did he get up from that??), fury clearly won by a couple.....

  • I have real issues with the mathematical side of it but this wasn’t that.

  • What a fight. Can't believe he got up from that second knockdown. Should have been Fury's I think

  • Rematch I guess...?
