Road triple running only two rings question.

Hey,

Can anyone help with this conundrum?

I’m wondering whether it’s possible to take off the big chainring on a triple crank and run smaller chain rings i.e. 26+36 using a Tiagra 4700 front mech? Will the mech be able to cope with the small ring?

The idea is get lower gears on a road set up.

I've got a new Sugino triple chainset in 165mm (110BCD) if you're short-legged. If you want to go HT2 and buy some NOS Ultegra 6603, drop bicyclist.cc a line, they should be able to source one for you.
