Out of saddle effort on the Cycleops Hammer, bent the skewer, bike jumped out and now the chain stays are scratched, hopefully not fucked.

Yeah, do your QRs up properly.
I'd probably add don't do sprint training on turbos but that's me. I'd have broken way more frames if I was sprinting on the turbo.
Replacing it with the burliest Shimano skewer I can find, had a tacx turbo one on there before and hadn’t had the issue before.
Might go back to my plan of building a steel turbo beater, won’t be so devastated if it gets busted...
Now to find out whether the chainstays need repair :(
I do standing efforts every now and then, but I'm not massively strong or heavy. Wahoo kickr weighting a tonne does help, got far more problems with "dumb" cheap turbo
