Little bit spinny on the flat but it’s good during long distance rides in Scotland.

This thread is just what I need right now for inspiration, having just bought a new track frame for a road-oriented build.

Yes! Nice bike. Seems like you have room for wider tyres, even with mudguards (which is rare). Are those 23s? Would love to fit 28c at the front of my track frame, but the clearances are too tight.

What did you buy?
I dream (oddly enough) of an old good road frame as a fixed conversion winter bike

Thanks! It's an old track/path frame so plenty of clearance. Got a load of life left on these tyres but will upgrade them when they're worn down.

Nice. I love a path frame, some of them were designed around 27" wheels, so that would give you extra clearance on 700c wheels.
Your brake levers are very low on the bars if I may. You could raise them a little and tilt the bars down, hood position would be the same. -

It's an old track/path frame
You do know that's tautology, don't you? Path cycling is done on circuits closed to other traffic, and eventually became track cycling when circuits were built specifically for bicycles. A dual purpose bike is Road & Path, as is a cycling club which participates in both disciplines, although I think the only active one still designated as such is Redditch R&P CC

In the days when track cycling was still called path cycling, all of them were, since 28" tubulars are about the same size as 27" clinchers. As a result, road/path bikes usually had 27" wheels, whereas pure road bike more often had 26" wheels.

Hilary Stone told us many moons ago. They were some very nice Holdsworth Zephyrs on the forum back in the day (but not fitted with mudguards, which I thought was a bit of a shame). I wonder were they are now.
