  • Looking at these (again) for christmas.
I'd probably go for the super c saddlebag, I prefer buckles to straps and have the matching panniers. The longflap looks appealing but I feel it's one of those 'if you have the space you'll fill it' situations too.

I'm having a think around mounting it though, I'll be commuting so probably a bagman qr expedition. Am I right in thinking that this will hold the bag out like:

    ?
It would be nice to have the bag sitting closer to the seatpost, as they hang naturally, like in the pics here:

Does anyone have any opinions on bending the rods so they're lower? I guess then the qr mechanism might be at a funny angle?

  • Just get the QR without the bagman support. Can always replace the leather strap with something less fiddly for the seatpost loop

  • What TvH said. I'd be against bending the rods, defeats the purpose of having them there, waste of money. QR mechanism will be at an angle but doubt it's a problem. Thrustvector's comment above confirms this perhaps between the lines?
I can test at home by removing the rod and posting a pic. Although Pendle 11l is much smaller than Super C.
Also, Condor shop if you're in London.
