Think I'm being well thick here but how the fuck do you use the 'stowable tabs on collar' of Rapha jackets?

I lay the jacket flat, fold arms in, fold left and right thirds in, roll up from the bottom so the band is still exposed and then loop it over. The inside part of the loop ends up on the outside.
