  • Thanks for the insight.
We have now booked a house in Rotterdam for the first two months.

What do you actually do, über? you're in arts, right? Do you want me to look out for internships etc here?

  • Oh nice, hope you enjoy the change of scenery!

Few recommendations I can remember are the Hotel New York for romantic outside sunset drinks or daytime watching of eccentric Dutch rollerbladers zooming about, a pedal through the Maastunnel under the river to Charlois for the lols or to Brasserie Koriander by an old windmill in a park for beer and bitterballen, or for real beer experience Locus Publicus has 300 odd Belgian bottles, or Belgisch Biercafé Boudewijn is another good shout for something traditional....

Cycle wise it's all pan flat and can be painfully windy. Think there is a wee cafe out by Oosdijk called Werelds Aan het strand or something that made for a good round trip to the coast from the south or easy to follow the paths inland and find yourself in Utrecht or somewhere.

I'm about to start gainful employment up here in the frozen Brexit wastelands for my sins, but thanks for the thought man. Hopefully I'll escape soon enough!
