Also, if you go to that area, check out Jermyn Street. It is really beautiful and a lot quieter. You can then nip up to Pcadilly and see the Fortnum and Mason Christmas window displays which are unmissable.

I would go to Picadilly Circus on the tube. Do the above, and then wander up Regent St to get the tube at Oxford Circus.

Obviously, this last bit will be busy as hell.

I'd like it to! In previous years people have clambered for a weekend date, but I've been averse because I always thought traffic in central was worse later into the evening. Maybe people can post thoughts here or in a new thread.

Either way happy to lead, I suggest either Tuesday the 18th of December or Saturday the 15th of December. Thoughts?

I'm going on Honeymoon in Thailand on the 12th December (HUMBLE BRAG) so I was thinking one night next week..
