  • You're kidding, @moocher no way should you throw them out. Especially if they have been sealed air tight, don’t smell bad when opened and cooked properly they’ll be fine. I’d eat them without a second thought. It’s best before date after all. Seriously, don’t waste food cos of a best before date.

  • I absolutely agree it's a shame to bin food, alas I also believe in the ayurvedic "qualities" of food, and (apart from the fact that it's processed, plastic wrapped stuff that actually may not be as healthy as you might think in the first place) this is almost 10 days over the best-before, so would definitely be considered "tamasic".
    In other words it may not be "spoiled" yet, there's not actual mould visible, no, but (from the ayurvedic standpoint) this for sure isn't vital food, but rather something that your body most probably will have a hard time digesting, thus taking more energy than giving.
