You silly. But yeah it has hoods and a road caliper.

I've done 100 miles with a bottle in a jersey pocket
Weird flex but ok.
Nice T3!

These are starting to sound like challenges

Swiss hill with it's cobbles would be a good one; could be a mass start event.

It might be hard to imagine but then I guess you haven't tried.
I haven't ridden fixed in the peak district, but people have. Like you say, maybe not all routes are feasible but many are, if you are so inclined. (Slight boast post:) I've ridden most of the hills in Kent and Surrey on fixed, many of them are just as steep and twisting as those in the peaks, maybe not as long in places.
Your comment seems a little out of place in a specific thread about fixed gear road bikes on a forum for fixed gear bikes. I'll happily pay you a visit and we can go for hilly ride...

I've suggested this (maybe a little tongue in cheek) for our 01fix1 Wednesday night rides... The idea got no traction unsurprisingly.

Could be good, I'm a fan of torque training and hills. Sadly my new HC bike doesn't have a rear brake so the route would need careful planning. lol.
But that's also why I don't consider it a fixed gear road bike... :p

@alialias is this like the northern version of a hard day in Jan? Or another forum joke? I can't tell.

Oh I'm in for this. I used to live in Kerridge about 30+ years ago. Will be doing it on a unicycle btw.

Are we allowed to post shoddy photos of our own bikes?

• #163
Not unless they've got drops and hoods

That orange and pink Nagasawa visited me in a dream and lo I thought I had seen heaven

I never understood road pedals on what looks like a daily bike (risers etc). Seems so impractical to me.
Lovely frame by the way!

Riding fixed without being clipped in just feels so odd now, and this is more of a “not quite Sunday best but I only ride it when I know I can leave it somewhere without locking it up on the street and only when it’s sunny” kinda bike
-
• #167
Agreed, but why not SPD/MTB pedals? At least you can walk around on those shoes, something you'll probably do a lot when it's a town bike.
-
• #168
Meh, I like the Time cleats and it takes a grand total of 12 seconds to change shoes haha. I see where you’re coming from, but having different pedals/shoes/cleats for different bikes seems like more of a faff

Ah, didn't think of that. I don't like bringing an extra pair, probably one of the reasons why I would rule out road pedals immediately. Different strokes of course!

Done Leeds to Manchester via Peaks a few times fixed gear. Holme Moss fixed wasn't fun, but there's loads of doable stuff.
