one of my velcro straps on my dominators keeps undoing. any way to fix? soles have plenty of life left so dont want to bin
-
• #1454
Does the Velcro need a clear?, that normally sorts mine out
-
• #1455
what does that mean? just had a google and no luck
-
• #1456
If you get mud or general road muck in the Velcro it losses its stickyness, you can wash it out and dry the Velcro stuck together it normally restores its stickyness.

i see. it just seems like the fluffy side is now VERY fluffy so the hooks dont hold it that tight. i might buy some adhesive velcro to stick ontop if I trim it back

I have a pair of Sidi winter boots which must be 18 months old but have had little use, they still look nearly new, soles have very little scuffing or wear. Unfortunately, the sole of one of them at the heel has started to come away from the upper.
Has anybody had any success in gluing these things back together ?

Just ordered a pair of Sidi Dominator 7s which arrived today. Not quite the narrow fit I was expecting. I didn't order the 'Mega' version and there's no 'M' on them to suggest I got sent them by mistake. Are the Dominators a bit more roomy than other Sidis? I have low volume feet and used to use Mavic but the fasteners tend to be a weak point and break after a while.

Any ideas what do about this?
Wasn’t really checking the sole (ever) and only discovered now, that it’s this extreme...
Thanks
Ps: got powerful drill available

Are Sidi Dominator (and ATAC pedals) still the forum approved™ combination of choice?
I've had my Dominators (5) since December 2018 and have done hundreds of thousands of miles in them. They still feel fine, but they are not exactly fresh, so am looking to renew.
They were £128 quid then. I've been searching for size 7/EU41 - anyone know where I can bag for cheapest?
What other options could I consider?

Still my preferred combination for all bikes.
I've found the pedals eventually click subtly, but always wondered if that's just my poor maintenance in not removing the pedals, cleaning the screws and re-greasing.
But they've been rock solid pedals, rock solid shoes, and work on all bikes and styles of cycling... so still the ones I go for.
