Whole thing seemed like an afterthought every time I worked on one. Same goes for Cervelo.

Bad. Not nice.

I withdraw my claim. Missed that the rear brake cable goes into the top tube sideways

Always ridden by nodders.
They really are. I don't know what it is. Wilier tend to be pretty bad too.

I think Giant bikes are one of those brands that are recommended all over the place. I know on several bike forums I am on, they're a default recommendation in terms of value vs. performance vs. quality. Tends to lead to a lot of riders who are just getting started.

but wilier graphics are just unacceptable.

i think in general they are also quite aesthetically neutral. the paint isn't always great but they don't have zertz or the futureshock or any other "fancy" bs. some of them have too many logos though (propel). the tcr is classy af though.

I like that, fast but not flash

They really are. I don't know what it is.
They used to be the cheapest/most accessible way to get on an aero bike. The Giant St Pauls store being bang in the middle of nodder buying territory probably did it too
They were quite common place on the crit scene aswell tbf
-
• #6442
Aren’t they basically the cheapest aero bike from a major brand?
-
• #6443
The Allez sprint overtook it, but for a long time they were yeah.
pretty sure any brand that makes more than about 3 models with have an "aero" model nowadays so it makes it a bit more competitive. All the major online cheap(ish) brands have an "aero" offering
-
• #6444
also the allez probably isn't actually all that "aero"
-
• #6445
Supposedly as aero as the Specialized venge first gen.
-
• #6446
I agree re: nodder Propels, universally-hideous Williers, etc. but.. back to hhrsb

Top drawer

Supposedly as aero as the Specialized venge first gen.
yeah, they say that about all the new bikes they release though

HHSRB-worthy Giants?

Top one is pretty bland, but at least it's vaguely in proportion. The bottom one, however..
No better way to do that front brake though really. Cable enters at the side of the brake arm and goes across the tire
