Genuine question; how do you know this isn't all just marketing?

Isn't it a bit like director's pay bodies made up of FTSE100 directors?

I was looking at a similar breeders club for pugs the other day. They claimed that a well bred pug should have no health problems but the weird thing is, some of the web site was dedicated to the care of partially paralyzed and blind pugs. Doesn't add up to me.
