Does anyone know if these baskets are ok for use on a carbon fork? Ta.
-
• #5
They mount to the axle / qr and hook over the bars... shouldn’t interfere with your fork ...
-
• #6
Ok thank you. I was asking more with respect to strength/structural rigidity of a carbon fork and it being safe?
But i guess if I am holding up to ~10kg then it should be ok? -
• #7
I don’t think a small loaded basket puts a massive amount of strain on the fork. It’s already got to handle people (who could be very heavy) potentially hopping off curbs and generally abusing their bikes... how old’s the fork?
-

True, i'm not a heavy chap, so I should be ok! I don't know how old the fork is - got it from @Thrasher last week!
It is a Columbus Hiver fork, so probably not "old".

Basket is great. Thankyou!
Can you believe I lost both of those spacers last night?! I'll bodge something.

Ah shit man that sucks. The cold froze them off no doubt. Some old bar tape rolled up should do the trick ?

It's all good. Used up inner tubes work well for stuff like this,
Cheers again.
Used, like new condition.
