Someone needs to be quick to buy this.
Roberts track 52cm with a reasonable dent in the top tube. Decent Campagnolo track parts - wheels, cranks & looks like a Regina Oro chain.
£250 BIN collection in London.

I have just joined the group.
This is my DogsBolx built in June 1994. Frame number 940603. It’s virtually all original apart from tyres and handlebar ends, and I still have the original receipts. I paid £860 for the frame, handlebar stem, headset and forks. I thought that was great value for money at the time considering it would take nearly a weeks work of a skilled craftsman to make your frame.
I have been researching more about my bike and managed to get the original build instructions from the Roberts archives. I remember being measured by Chas himself who took my deposit. After reading more on this and the LCC website, I now know Winston Vaz built my frame (and handlebar stem) as it has his signature triple pointed seat stay reinforcement.
I’ll post more images soon plus explain how I sourced all the components and built the entire bike to achieve an all up weight of only 9.77kg.

Hi,
More info on my Dogs Bolx. Back in the late ‘80s, early ‘ops I worked as a part time mechanic at Smithbrook Kilns Bicycle shop near Cranleigh. Fixing bikes that had wrecked bearings made me realise if I built my own bike it would have replaceable cartridge bearings throughout the bike including the jockeywheels!. That plus it had to be really light influenced my decision to use replacement titanium nuts, bolts and spindles for all the group set.
So here are the original build notes. Apart from tyres and the bar ends, this bike is original.1994 Chas Roberts 17.5” Dogs Bolx - White Pearlescent paint with Gold / Red highlighted Clarendon graphics.

What is the saw tooth shaped thing in the second to last picture?

That is a home made chain suck device. I had mounts placed on the chainstay so I could fit one.

That is a very very nice ride indeed - don't think I ever seen a Dog's as nice tbh. Absolutely lovely.
I had this frame made in about 1990 I think. It's full Max OR throughout, including forks.
Bit random component-wise, Campag, ZT, Ringle, Dia Comp. Wheels are Mavic Paris Dakar rims and hubs. They'll last longer than I will I think.
Still ride it most weekends now, and aside from a old Marin on a turbo trainer it's my only ride. -

That is a really nice bike. I’m glad you still ride yours regularly. Mine is stored at the moment as I’m out of the country for some time. I really miss it!

Brian Phillips and Colourtech did a great job and we’ve tricked it out with Velo Orange stainless steel racks and mudguards. Very pleased with the result.

55 x 55 , I purchased it from @tomsvoboda
Paint was car paint so had it refinished by Argos cycles in metallic gun metal with all the panto markings picked out in silver to match the new decals
New hidden mudguard fixings & cable guides added
Had headset & bb cased & faced with new headset
Chorus 11 speed group set & Campag cables & adjusters
Very nice Record silver OS hubs open pro cd rims running 25mm gp 4 season tyres
Cinelli stem & bars
Pdw metal fenders
Arundal stainless cages
Deda or Campag aero seatpost
I want to keep the saddle , but can find another suitable saddle
It will run 25mm tyres with guards or 28 easily without the guards
I’d like £1100 for complete bike I’d keep the group set if splitting -

Nice! I'd be tempted if I hadn't just bought a Roberts. How much did Argos charge for the paint if you don't mind me asking?
