"Seat stays" are rebar too

They're also usually fixed too, as a freewheel is a bit of a luxury.

Yup. I have no idea whether rod brakes are any good but combining steel rims and that much weight behind you gives a stopping distance of miles. The traffic/driving is bonkers so all together it's terrifying prospect.

I think that one had a freewheel. There was a surprising number of relatively nice bikes, with modern disk brakes and stuff as well. And lots of 26" retro MTB > single speed conversions similar to this:
Everything function > form, didn't see any silly low-spoke-count wheels or narrow tyres or weenie stuff or anything flimsy. My kinda bikes

Oh wow.
That poor police man around 0:45 - probably standing there and giving instructions all day, while everybody is just doing what the fuck they want!

My functional build is almost complete. Vagabond, 650b x 60, fat guards, rack and dynamo lights.

Mmm, that wide tyres and still able to mount full guards... Makes me want this frameset even more. Though with Pickenflick already in my stable there would be too many adventure bikes, I need more diversity between the builds (like Vagabond in commuter+adventure role possibly with two wheelsets and pure road bike for speed).

GB guards, right? The front guard seems way longer than my 26" ones, at the bottom. Looking good!

Yup, it's bad form to walk into a shop with your shoes on
