Those SLX brakes I bought for my Hummus have a leaky caliper up front.
Thankfully I still had the BB7s hanging around all setup so slapped the front one back on and salvaged the day's riding.
Question is, do I
Chuck money at the problem and buy a new caliper to replace it with.
Swap the rear caliper to the front and use the brake on an upcoming street trials bike build
Douse the fuckin lot in petrol, throw a match at it and watch it all burn why chanting "I will never buy (used) hydros ever again" over and over?
If I decide to buy a caliper, the new stuff is all banjo fittings on the nicer levels, Deore looks to be the 'straight in' type fitting, reckon the threads will still be the same and I can just unscrewthe hose from the slx caliper and whack it in a Deore (possibly needing a new olive etc of course)?
Will I never fucking learn?
