I've damaged the rear derailleur on my Tiagra (RD 4701) ten speed road bike, I've sourced a replacement derailleur this being a Shimano 105 (RD5700) but am having a job to tune in the gears so that they index correctly, they'll either change upwards cleanly but not downwards cleanly or vice versa, can anyone advise if the pull on the gear lever is different from one groupset to another? thanks
