Sorry for dredging this up but as someone who is finding threaded forks and quill stem making for a strange and flexi front end on my steel framed bike have you ridden enough to give an opinion on your threadless 1" Hylix forks yet? Also did you incur any extra import / VAT or was it just the cost and postage to pay?

I've decided to try running a carbon fork on the De Rosa. Bought one of those 1" Hylix things off eBay and a replacement CK headset in 1" threadless.
Now I need to try and find a suitable stem that works with 25.4mm handlebars and the 25.4mm ahead - could use a adapter on the stem if it was quite anonymous.
Thinking about this to keep the Nitto stuff consistent.
