What even happened there?!?!
-
• #3103
It was a small year, that became a if year when I tried to leap onto a small pillar and vault a fence, to impress the kids.
They laughed. A lot.
It was a pair of jeans that I had already written off and got a refund for, since the tear happened within three months of buying them. So, no real harm done.
I might get them fixed anyway, and see how they come up.

Did you land the jump?
-
• #3105
Yep. Glad you asked.
-
• #3106
It's the only question worth asking isn't it? As a wannabe rad dad, i need to know real rad dads are rad.
-
• #3107
Mate, I stomped the landing.

Shame they’re not 31 waist. If they were I’d buy them back
-
• #3110
Would be interested/dibs in these depending on condition thanks

The hem on my ironhearts is getting very frayed.
Is that something worth getting fixed, or will that just make them look worse?

Just run with it.

Picked up some Hiut Selvedge for £110. Still new with tags.
I know bugger all about these things but they seem nice. Heavier than what I've worn before.
https://hiutdenim.co.uk/products/selvedge-denim-hacks-2014Took a bit of a punt on the sizing but seems right. Bit rigid at the moment and very slightly on the small side, but I expect it'll give a lot.

any recommendations for truly black (relatively) skinny selvedge? I had a pair of Edwin which were OK but the dye didn't last too long before going streaky
-
• #3115
Sounds like you made the classic mistake of washing them
-
• #3116
Or spin was >400
-
• #3117
I think they were washed and maybe on a spin cycle too
They just looked a bit washed out and streaky before that though too

Ed85 White Selvage is good. I size down in waist to 30 when I buy them.

Where for nice chinos?
-
• #3120
M&S?
They also do short sleeved shirts with chest pockets.

Joking aside, I'd have a look in Banana Republic. They're part of the GAP family and I really rate Old Navy's chinos, so I'd guess they're likely to be good.

Those shoes remind me of a pair of Rockport XCS shoes I had in the late 90's. I loved those shoes.

Despite the general consensus here I've found Gustin to be good for chinos, better than Epaulet. How close to the original cuts are you going for?
-
• #3124
They're great when it's too cold to wear my Crocs.

SoS got some really nice ones in a while back but quite a wide cut. Also Albam does nice chinos (not selvedge).
I have a pair of natural selection in a 34 waist you’re welcome to as I don’t wear them (worn maybe 10 times at a push).
Wow, looks problematic lol
I picked up three pairs from the D'arblay Street dry cleaners today and one pair wasn't quite as bad as this, but I thought they might be beyond saving and they sorted them out so might be worth asking.
