I quite like the Heuer Calibre 18 in that style, it's a bit pricey though and it has a telemeter scale instead of a tachy scale which might be at odds with the "driving" angle.

I love the look but in reality, tags seem to be about a foot thick!

Yeah, they really are. Having said that, one of things I like about the Calibre 18 is that it’s a bit smaller. They "vintage" sized it. E.g. it’s about 2mm thinner than the current Autavia.
