  • Yes. It's called 'where did I see that' or something similar. Can't find it though sorry.

    Edit:
    It is HERE

  • Cheers but I don't think that's bluetooth is it?

  • ah good point, completely forgot. It's got a USB thingy ('logitech unifying receiver'). Which would be included.

I don't think you need software for it. The dongle and the mouse are apparently paired, rather than the PC and the mouse.

  • Managed to lose the bolt and washer to clamp the gear cable when I snapped my hanger. Got a new inner cable in before realising, and a LBS said they couldn't order a new one and didn't have a spare when doing it. Where can I get one does anyone know please? It's a sram NX1 mech

  • wow that's some dramatic lighting

  • The bluetooth is more that it will also be used with devices with only USB C or micro USB, not just standard USB.

  • So, I got recommended the SKS chainguard. However, I just found out on youtube (the manual is non existent) that I need a modern bottom bracket, otherwise it won't work :S

Does anyone know a different solution for a chainguard on my fixie?

  • Hub pawls gone?

  • .

  • I think they have the same TPI as a bottle cage bolt

  • There are probably a number of LBSs that will have a worn out donor mech knocking about. Search around, ask nicely, offer biscuits.

  • I hope not, the wheels are new! Gonna try a new cassette and see what happens...

  • Check the engagement when you take the cassette off.

  • Work gave me some wiggle vouchers as thanks, should i buy the Rapha Classic Winter jacket for £156?

I need something that'll block the wind and keep me warm without boil in the bag type qualities. Would look to wear only a/couple of thin layers underneath.

  • I got some gossamer thin Rapha wind jacket as a wedding present. Is excellent! Not in any way waterproof tho.

  • 99% cassette, chains wear a lot more quickly than people think, especially if the aim is to change them before they wear the cassette to the point it won't work with a new chain. Old chain and cassette will work fine together for a while though and it takes a fair bit longer to wear chainrings.

  • My size sold out in the time it took me to think about it.

Anyone want to buy £250 of Wiggle vouchers for £230?

  • cheers @Landslide & @branwen will do :)

  • Selling stuff I make online, looking at using Etsy, Squarespace, Wordpress/woocommerce - any others? Is there a clear winner? Should I consider Ebay?

  • unrelated to the above, I want to make a lamp using this old one. Plan is to house it in the thing in the background.
Q - this is one of those touch sensitive lights? there's more stuff inside its guts than I expected, and no switch on the main lead.
Q - the brown wire that is connected to the central stem - is this for the touch sensitiveness, or a ground wire?
Q - either way, will the steel base in the background be too thick for whatever purpose the brown wire serves, or can i just attach it to it?

  • Need to replace the car. Pondering a Cat N (what was Cat D). Written off by insurer, but non structural damage only.
I know precious little about cars.

Internet opinion suggest that AA or RAC giving something the once over prior to buying is often a complete waste of money.

So, as a relative punter, do I just avoid Cat D or N's. Do I find a mate that knows a bit more than me...

  • I think the standard response is to try and find out as much as possible about why it was written off, pictures are the best, ideally also find out who repaired it, I would steer clear of anything repaired by themselves or a mate...

  • Category N (formerly Category D)

Don’t assume such vehicles are drivable, however; non-structural faults may include brakes, steering or other safety-related parts.

Not necessarily just cosmetic. They're a good way to get a decent vehicle for cheap but you need to get a thorough check done or try to find out from the insurer or seller for the reason it was written off.

  • Answer to that used to be pro team jacket...

  • Shoe size help pls.

    So men’s and women’s UK sizes are different - men’s 6 = women’s 7 (?)

Is the same true to euro (I had hoped
Euro was standard) getting confused shopping for shoes for Mrs TM.
