  • SB, oh you tease...

  • pricing looks competitive with apidura... or am I doing it wrong ?

  • Latest gen Rapha aerosuit is nice and wrinkle free. Looks and feels aero, obviously more important than actually being aero.

  • Just got two almost-new jerseys off ebay. Can confirm, Rapha stuff is nice. And not so pricey when you don't buy new.

  • How's brevet insulated jacket? Would it be fine for temperatures below zero?

  • I fear you may be right. Sending them back

  • I like mine. Lowest I've had it was aroudn 2c on a foggy day. Everyone runs at different temperatures but if I were planning on using the insulated jacket on below zero temps then I'd probably want a nice merino baselayer and a decent longsleeve jersey underneath that with the jacket over the top. If it was a particularly windy day I might want something more windproof in there too.

  • just to try and help with the "run hot" "run cold"

    https://www.bmj.com/content/359/bmj.j5468

  • "The remaining unexplained variation was a large and significant predictor of subsequent mortality, nearly 8.4% higher mortality for a 1 SD increase in temperature"

people who 'run hot' are more likely to die?

  • People who run hot are fatter.

  • Not necassarily. Fat insulates very well, which is why the skin will feel very cold.

^returning to the paper that you posted, it could also depend on their ovulation cycle.

  • I run hot. But am skinny.

Am I secretly fat, and about to die?

  • it could also depend on their ovulation cycle

Somehow I think this does not apply to me :D

But yeah good to know I'll die sooner. I guess it compounds with the other unhealthy stuff.

  • Mine arriving this week after much Wiggle/Rapha delays, will let you know. I hope it does!

  • So the frame bag and top tube bag has glued seams...

  • Anyone dealt with Rapha repairs - are they usually slow to reply? I put in a request the other day but haven't heard nowt since.

  • haven’t heard nowt

So you have heard from them, why the question?

  • Quite say the opposite - I've used the service before, and have a couple of things being repaired at the moment. I'm impressed by how speedy and personal their responses are.

  • I've always found the service excellent. That said, the T&Cs seem to have now changed to just crash damage repairs. I think it used to cover reasonable wear & tear? I had some jeans repaired twice that had worn away at the crotch.

  • That's a bit shit if true, thought the repair scheme was at least partially Rapha trying to stand by their products. What if you purchased something before the T&Cs changed?

  • When last time was any code hanging around? The one I used last time was last year on Black Friday, someone is taking a mickey.

  • I had a crash repair done recently and it was a normal turnaround. Filled in the online form and got an email the same day, sent the bibs off and got an email to confirm they had received them. Final repair back 10 days later.

  • Try 7AK1N7H3M1CK7.

  • Cheers, 45% off has enabled me to get my whole seasons wardrobe. Not sure if it was a single use code.

@rodman you may need to ask @snottyotter if he can get you another code.

  • My last one, try @amey
