It's about 18 at night. I think.
I'm asleep and warm so fucked if I care.....But seriously folks. Double glazed.
I think the external walls make it cold. I can't get their rooms warm, their noticeably colder than mine. All have wooden flooring. All have new good rads. Not under Windows in either of the rooms.I think, just put a jumper on and really fixing sheets on one side, plus disciplinary offence, is the best way.

We reckon velcro / massive bulldog clips could be fun.

Plus heavier jim jams.
B kicks the covers off every night. Warmer jim jams helps.
Also - I miss @pyjamas. Top bloke.

I wasn't even in the pub when he told me, it must be true.

Plug in oil radiator chucks out a lot of heat, our was about £80 or so. Probably costs a few quid to run though.
I fear you're right. And two of them running full chat have been the only things heating my house for the last 5 weeks. Really must get the boiler fixed/replaced.

Ha. God knows when we’ll start the kitchen anyhow so you may well be in there first.

They put me in a straight jacket at night to stop me falling out of bed.
I was 5.

My understanding is that rads should be under Windows? (Despite my initial assumption that the heat would just piss out the window)
-
• #26087
Yes me too.
Moving them required more money than we had at the time. I think there was a solid reason why we didn't do it in mjz room.
Is a contemplation. -

This is my understanding too, you’re a doctor, I pretty much trust you, if it wasn’t for the DayZ years I’d fully trust you.
-
• #26089
Yes, should be under windows. Stops the cold air from the window sinking down and freezing the floor to a skating rink. Instead you get air circulation.

All rads in the wrong place in my place. I've found adding a small oil filled radiator under the window does actually help. It's tiny, cheap from Argos, doesn't cost that much to run. Tuck the curtains in as well (not hanging in front of the windowboard). Also it'll be humid if there are children in there so the dehumidifier will help. If it's all a bit noisy, even running it during the day up until bedtime will help.

Absolutely no part of this fable could be embellished, stretched, bent or fabricated in the name of imparting the wisdom of the old keep it simple, stupid maxim
tell them to put a jumper on or you'll throw them out on the street
