Hehe, Boardman frameset came up cheap locally and I wanted something non-precious for drilling/nutserting, crashing and winter use.

Chief disadvantage of the dyno hub is that it’s not matchy matchy with said iridescent rear hub. I’ll probably rebuild a front wheel with the matching hub once I have another practical fixed gear with dyno and everything :)

Maybe. Here's a very old one when I'd just arrived in London and did the obligatory ride to Brighton. At the time it was sans dynamo and had a fair few less scratches on the paintjob:
