That's quite a lot of work and has to be done with some precision to get the rear wheel tracking straight once the hinge/headtube is screwed into the frame.
One thing that strikes me from that website is that the wheels have square-section tyres. I don't know how this would affect the ride and it might make it more like a toddle bike, but harder to learn to actually balance on.

Good point, I haven't sourced any wheels yet, you can get them on hobby sites I think.

Looks great but I'm very much limited to wordwork right now.
I'm going to take on a balance bike project, and was wondering if anyone had done something similar?
I chose here rather than the DIY thread as there are some bike-technical considerations around the 'headset' construction and the geometry that this forum seems better suited for.
