Egg replacer
Can you tell i'm new to this?

Protein powder. It's how I used to make bars before Huel came along. Oats, protein powder, dried fruits, PB. Mix, form, put in the fridge overnight.

I know the eggs are to bind it, but always seems a bit weird š I make a lot of energy ball type things, nut butters and maple syrup or agave should be enough to bind it together. https://minimalistbaker.com/no-bake-pb-j-energy-bites/ haven't made this particular one, but everything on minimalist baker is amazing. They have a bunch of recipes for bars/flapjacks/energy balls etc.

..saw this on the same site after browsing those iceland products -
Icelandās anti-palm oil Christmas TV advert is banned for being too political
-
• #5533
If you promote products containing palm oil, thats non-political. If you point out the problems with palm oil, thats political, according to advertising law. wtf.

I hadn't been in an Iceland for donkeys' years but you mentioned them some time ago in the Veg & Vegan thread ...

I've tried hemp/coconut/s0ya/almond 'milks' and have settled on the Oatley Barista as the the only acceptable one for coffee.
I believe ( can't remember where I read this ) that Oatly are doing well selling the stuff in the Netherlands which is understandably milky.

It was ok - did the whole pack for one - a fair but pointless attempt at the 'chicken and 'chorizo' but yum.
-
• #5540
I only use plant-based 'milks' very occasionally for cooking, maybe once or twice a year. I like soya cream, though.

I find Wills shoes extremely narrow and my feet aren't even that wide.
Super happy with my https://www.bboheme.com brogues boots. -

I find Wills shoes extremely narrow
Good to know, thank you.I do like some Boheme shoes but they are about Ā£100 more than I want to spend.

That headline is a bit silly. I imagine 95%+ of the population still drink the cows stuff.

I got mine on sale. Wouldn't hesitate to pay full price now. These are my only smart shoes, they served me well over past two years.

I've been buying those No Bull Burgers for a couple of months. Love em, they bleed beetroot whilst cooking? Both the normal and Jalapino are great, the Jalapino is mild. Deffo worth Ā£2. The No Bull sausages are too skinny though.?!
-

Yes - 'beetroot red' colour is an ingredient. Not tried the sausages yet but I'm going through the whole range. The Tofu & Veg burgers are good - hold together well.
Egg replacer? :)
