So cool. I went disk on my cc for 650bxbig but this takes it to the next level. 44 headtube is the way to go, I wanted it but the guy who did the work wasn't keen to take it on.

I am wondering what to do with the seat stays
Remove the brake bridge, flare the seat stays out a smudge with a scissor-type car jack, braze in longer brake bridge.

This will only have steel forks so 44mm HT doesn't make sense. But yeah yours look cool.

I am super excited. It looks like she has done an amazing job.
She has sent me through some process photos.

Might as well, seeing how tooling is already taken care off.

Mmm I don't know.
I figured I might as well try and fix it. -

It will work but it will change the spacing at the hub as well.

Ok. Thanks

I have my dummy axle between the dropouts when ever I work on the rear triangle that should keep everything in place. I need to respace the rear to 135mm anyways

No worries mate. You didn't make the forks Maza did. The dropouts should face forward on disc brake forks.

Velo Orange Piolet solution for seat stay clearance. Something like this could work for your Surly?
-
• #1498
Yeah, but I am not super keen on the look of it tbh.
I will try forcing the seat stays apart first. If that doesn't go as planned I have some T45 tubing I can make a wishbone from like the one on my sscx -

Yeah I know what you mean. I don't like the over-hang bit. It needs a neater solution, but as a starting point.
I'll wait and see what you come up with. -
