Yes agreed, though as I work for the shop I'm just saving time by checking it myself first.

26.6mm!

Cool, it’s prob easier to get the whole unit together tbh, @maynardeames will be along shortly to tell you the part number etc. Think they’re £20 retail and it’s a 5 minute job to fit

Not been made for at least 5 years! just push back to brompton for a replacement, then get a Hubsmith in there!
-
• #5581
They'd hold freehub spares though, surely? Or at least a full hub so I can take the freehub off - CBA rebuilding a wheel. Anyway I'm speculating now, will check inside first.

they will just replace the wheel.

Wheel / Nuts : )

Damn I kinda hoped it would be 27.2 or some other normal size so I could just drop another seatpost in and do away with the pentaclip thing.

Belated thanks for your reply, will look into the Vostok one. Cheers!

https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/search/?term=kuosac%20tele - we have these, but the tubing is thinner and I would rather change the shim in top of the telescopic to something that was ID 27.2!

Custom build..
Short customer, so p type stem with s bar, roughly 60mm lower than s type. Brake levers pulled in, saddle forward, 140mm cranks on 40t chainring and removable pedals!

New bike, 2 months of 3x...
2 months is the first free service (6 weeks).
-
• #5589
Actually is probably is closer to 6 weeks and if that's needed for warranty I'll get it looked over soon. Tbh I just adjust as needed and wasn't going to bother. First complete bike I've bought in a long time. Pawls and ratchet looked OK though, the spring clip doesn't seem that strong and perhaps was just misaligned.

A Campag pawl spring clip looks the same shape, don't know about size though. Anyone swapped the Brompton hub spring for another clip of the same size that has more tension/spring?

You can get the same saddle with a hole cut to save more weight.

Pushed mine, folded, by the saddle through Lewisham Shopping Centre this afterlunch.
The larger diameter TPW Ezy wheels I scored from SJS last week made the task a smidge easier.
I now have 12 weeks supply of Queen's Mix pepper from Flying Tiger (Formerly known as Tiger Tiger).
ETA - That reflects on how often I like to visit Lewisham Shopping Centre. -

Hi guys, my black brompton is looking rather crap after years of use and looking to get a nice respray potentially some fade too. Anywhere in london where I can go to help me with that without spending a fortune? I can strip the bike myself (minus the main frame hinges) to save some money.

It not gonna be cheap as the paint is very tough (for obvious reason).
2 months old, go back to shop, if any failure / issue - warranty.
