Soooooo... I got some plush Manitou XVerts now, which feel so so nice compared to the RST’s, though indeed the RST’s were quite nice compared to most on BSO’s.
This was my ‘shortlist’ of v-brake potentials, but the bombers have been spoken for, and the others I couldn’t be 100% about.
Anyway. Took a real pain of a job to find an extra 10mm of steerer through some imaginative bosching for the headset, where this pair were slightly shorter.
@stedlocks they told me the bombers being thru-axle are earmarked for a £££ Kona build, but if you make a good offer on them they might reconsider. There’s the Marzocchi Gran Fondo 1’s going spare now as they aren’t on my bike.
