I did 7 miles each way in work clothes for a couple of years no problem. In summer it reaches 30 degrees on Central Line anyway so it's cooler on the bike, but then I moved to an office with awesome showers that had body jets so I'd turn them all on and pretend I was on a submarine that was hit by a torpedo.
