Basically I can’t ride mtb for shit but had fun!
Sounds familiar. I'm still not sure I ever actually 'have fun' riding MTB though.
I think I just like the bikes. -

Did Dusk til Dawn there a number of years back. My first ever night ride... probably a stupid idea to make it a race. Predictably I sucked, but luckily so did the rest of my team.

I did that race once. Never been so cold. Like, body-shutting-down cold.

I think I'm the opposite then! No interest in the bikes, but enjoyed being out in the countryside.
-

I like being in the countryside too... on a road... clean... at 30kph... with a quiet bike... and a functional spine :)

Rained for the 2nd half of the race for us. I sacked it off after my third stint, ate a stack of bacon butties and a gallon of tea and slept in the boot of my car for a couple of hours.

I prefer being out in the countryside, not having people in cars try to murder me.

Don’t worry, if they did you have a 1 in 6 chance they get a (suspended) jail sentence.

Dat rain earlier. Cycled the Marin something like an hour and a half getting soaked to the bone. Another half hour after one of the errands it stopped so that was a bonus.
During the storm I had to take a country road and it was flooded almost entirely just like my shoes, gloves jersey and shorts. Those Barzo’s didn’t let me down for a second. The usually loose gravel path on the way back was also nicely...dampened so there was ultra grip on the cornering there too.
10/10 would bomb around in the rain again.

Popped up a meet thread about the bike shop/dungeon/trails around Swindon.
Appears it clashes with another meet, but need to confirm date today anyway, might be the following weekend:

Will going from 23mm internal to 25mm internal make any noticeable difference to the amount of tyre squirm im getting with a 2.35”?
-
• #12698
Seems a bit of a small change. Light bicycle 30mm internals?

Oh yeah?
Glad you’re all not red bull rampage level riders so I won’t feel like an idiot when I finally finish my bike and come for a ride
