What's the best 26" tyre for fast road riding. Ideally in the 28-32c range?

Kojak

Cool, better option than the Conti GP 26" version which looks like a mini GP4000s?

Conti GP 5000s

Now with 32C option (and TL if you like that kind of thing)

Hmmm
I rate Kojaks highly. The folding ones are increasingly hard to come by but works amazing.
My wife is currently on the wire bead version 35c and they are fast enough and I reckon they could even be set up tubeless.
But Compass tyres makes 26".... Mmm hipster tyres -

Will be interesting to see how they sell. With Hutchinson’s new releases and now this Schwalbe up against it.

Interestingly bicyclerollingresistance.com tested the Kojaks and found them slower than Marathons and actual MTB tyres.
@Saffronspokes tan walls are great, especially on carbon and/disc rims.

Tubeless Conti GPs?

literally on the same page

Chaoyang/Maxxis/Lifeline packaging is identical and they run narrower than labelled same as Maxxis.

I've always liked my 26" 2" kojaks but they don't feel anywhere near as nice/lively/insert silly adjective as compass rat trap pass.
The compass are much more fragile though, and nowhere near 28/32mm.
Using 26" tyres for 'fast road riding' is kind of odd though - are you sure you're not meaning 650c or 650b?
-
• #5893
Isen AllSeason can be used with either. I'd go for 650c and GP4000SIIs, assuming that Conti carry on making 650c tyres when they switch to GP5000.

650c makes less sense than 26" IMO

i should read

They're not even as thick as GP4000s which are a race tyre.
GP 5000 now.

Max size Conti do the 4000s in 650c is 23mm which is too narrow.
26" definitely seems to have more choice than 650c (which seems to have almost died out).
It's frustrating that the 3 small Isens don't take 650b as that with the new 28mm GP 5000 would be ideal!

Ah, good point. Mind you, for tiny people 23mm is enoooooormous. 23mm tyres actually look pretty fat on a 650c wheel I reckon. But if you want wider, then I'd agree 26" is a better choice.
