Cafe du Cycliste's new stylish gravel kit includes... a hoodie?! When you've got a gravel ride at 9, but want to hang around in the park with your mates at 11.

If you look at at that picture a bit crosseyed, you can see it's really one guy on a bike, with a purple cap and a beard that flickers on/off.

Ha, thanks to you, I woke up, saw this post and now own a used Team GB Wiggins skinsuit. The guy is mates with Brad and works for team Wiggins. Said I could collect at that Rouler thing tonight and meet Brad.

Are you going to wash it?

Not looking for a recommendation of stylish kit but just decent.
I want some 3/4 length tights, knickers, call them what you will. I have some Nike running ones I occasionally wear under baggier shoprts for mtbing etc but the bottom of the legs always rides up till its bunched around my knee. Does this happen with cycling ones or do they tend to have gripper material around the hem? The Nike ones don't.
Ideally they'd be unpadded but I think this is a big ask.

I have endura ones. Have done for years they’re tremendous and have silicone grippers to keep’em in place.
Still prefer thermal bibs and leg warmers but I’m strange.

Sportpursuit have some unpadded Bioracer 3/4s on at the moment that I've been tempted by...I have a pair of their full length winter tights and they're great.

While we're on functional cycling kit... What recommendations for a good quality waterproof for commuting?
My commute goes down some slightly sketch country A roads so I'd like something pretty visible (doesn't need to be full on fluro but something pretty bright with plenty of reflective). There looks to be a lot of stuff online but everything I've actually seen has either been very bulky or ridiculously "relaxed" fit. I'm not necessarily looking for a full on pro fit Gabba (I've got several of those already), but also not nodder baggy. I'm just after a decent quality, highly visible "club fit" hardshell.
(I'm a tall thin fit 6ft/70kg if that helps).

I like my dhb flashlight force a lot.
It's very cycling jacket with all the reflective bits but works well. Vents under arms are great.
I am 5 10 and 65kg and size s is a good fit with room to spare and the arms are quite long. -

I got an endura mt500 recently and it's great. Use it day to day as well as for commuting and it doesn't feel too 'waterproofy'. Only £129 if you get it in orange too!
I'm 6ft/74kg and the medium is a tad baggy, so sounds like you'd be a small.

i have bveen using vermarc 3/4 for commuting for years. the padding is pretty minimal, sizing is very pro, all in all value for money is bonkers.

Good suggestions, thank you. I especially like the look of the Endura MTR jacket in orange (@dglshrn where did you see the MT500 at £129?), I'm just a little unsure on sizing - I'm usually borderline S/M.
One of my lbs has the Madison sportive high-vis and the Altura Podium NightVision in stock so I might go and try those on too. I think Altura have a decent rep but I've never owned any Madison kit... does it hold up ok?

Those all look better than my dhb jacket.
I still like the christmas tree effect (less likely to get the smidsy excuse) it has though.
But I forgot that everyone seems to think I am working for foodora.
Was amazed by the strange lights one of them had and stared, got a shy high five in return. -

Ooh, in black too now https://www.cyclestore.co.uk/endura_mt500_waterproof_jacket_2_2018-ID_68015
Orange is nice though. Looks more like a walking jacket than a hi vis affair.
If I was buying again I'd probably go small, but I'm not very broad.

endura make absolute top notch stuff nowadays, although always size down. £129 is a bargain for that jacket because that £199 isn't even the RRP anymore and it sells for more than that

Evans do stock them if you want to check size. I went big enough that I could fit a couple of layers underneath for wintry MTB.

Im not liking that website. not sure if its me or chrome or what but its forcing me to create an account just to view those Bioracers. got a direct link so I can bypass the crap on the main homepage?

I've got a 7mesh resistance jacket which is more of a wind/shower jacket than full on raincoat but even in frigid monsoons where it's not kept me dry, it's kept me warmish.
I'm eyeing their Oro jacket too to replace my Decathlon BTwin 900 rain coat which is worse than the 7mesh for rain even though it packs down really well.
Looks like Wiggins is selling all his old kit on Ebay. Note seller used to be called 'topmod-pro-cycling'
