  • just petty moaning then...

    guilty.

Some of the mechanics really are frustrating when you get started and they really do put a damper on things at first and the control scheme is really frustrating when you're trying to figure everything out at the beginning but once you settle in and the gameplay takes the forefront it becomes something quite special.

I've never managed to get past about 6 hours of gameplay on any GTA game as it felt repetitive and clunky most of the time, so i'd end up driving around a bit and then never going back to it.

With this I've spent the last 4 days just wandering around the wilderness hunting for pelts and exploring anywhere on the map where there might be something cool. I've done maybe 4 story missions in that whole time. it's much like fallout 3 in that you can just take off to a corner of the map and spend hours looking in huts and finding little pieces of story. if you ride flat out everywhere you'll miss 90% of what makes it good.

the little annoyances are still there and will pop up from time to time and reading around online they're quite widely shared but tbh they're worth putting up with.

  • It's an amazing game but there are a number of things (these are so petty) that are furstrating.

For example, donating to camp, I have to hold a button and I can only do one thing at a time?

Swimming I just don't get whatsoever.

This is more of my annoyance but charging that bloody horse into trees/ rocks higher than their knees.

On the whole though it's fantastic, my housemates have sat and watched me play the game and say it's just like watching a film.

I just have no idea where I'll go after I've played this, I have a feeling most games are going to pale in comparison.
