I was about to but didn't... Many thanks...

Mike, you're such a football gammon.

• #147379
It's almost as if I walked straight into that.

Looking for a big result from the Cherries, shouldn't be too difficult looking at the table...

Manure looking like Chelsea just before TSO got the Spanish archer...

United nicking a win in Fergietime. Just like the bad old days.
-

I’m happy for United to keep nicking these poor results which paper over the gaping cracks and keep Mourinho in a job.
Hopefully it grants him the right to waste loads of money in January.

Without being mawkish, the space for sentimentality is slowly being crushed out of football by money so I’m pleased for Leicester to get a win.

Decent game and still unbeaten. I think we did enough for the win but the important thing is not to drop points against the top 4 rivals.

Congrats to Clapton CFC on an 11-1 win today.
Wish I had gone.
Tom did you play?
-
• #147388
No, I was dropped. I hope it's because I had to work till 1pm so I said I couldn't guarantee I'd make it by kick off.
I think realistically it's probably tactical as well. We have a new centre back, a former Premier League academy player who was briefly a pro in Sweden and Finland after that didn't work out. Unsurprisingly, he's better than me!
The team we played today really were shit though. They're a new team, and it says a lot about the tinpot nature of the league that they were allowed to join. I've played against much better teams that are outside the football pyramid.

Great interview by Kaspar Schmeichel on MoTD. Such a credit to the club and city.

Got the result we needed against wolves, despite making it hard in ourselves in the second half, when I thought we’d put the game away.
Lamela is proving to be the injury returning player whose like a new signing, full of running, scoring and making goals. He’s having a huge impact on the way we play.
Losing dembele early made us adapt and the front four of Kane, moura, son and Lamela and the pace and trickery they possess put Wolves under pressure.
Foyth despite giving away two pens (sold short by Trippier and winks on both occasions) had an impressive first start. Great first half, passing wise, not so good second. But he’s young and he’s shown plenty of ability. Hoping he gets a run of games as the sheriff reshuffles to keep the team fresh..Despite the loss to city, still in the hunt, and we usually kick on over Christmas, so hoping we do that again.

Looks like it’ll be a long afternoon for Southampton fans.

• #147392
Whatever you think of City, they are a joy to watch. De Bruyne’s absence hasn’t mattered a jot.
-
• #147393
That's that then. City won't be caught now.
-
• #147394
Because they beat Southampton?
You're not prone to hyperbole are you.
-
• #147395
+29 goal diff in 11 games is quite something.
-
• #147396
City will win the title hands down. Chelsea 2nd, Liverpool 3rd, Spurs 4th

• #147397
Nice to see someone picking up Pisti's slack for him. Classy.
-
• #147398
Are we simply meant to ignore what happened back then?
-
• #147399
City are on another level at the moment. I’m just happy that Chelsea are still within touching distance of them.

Of course not, but do you really think that anytime that someone mentions the word "Liverpool" the appropriate response is to incessantly bring it up?
If only there was a meme which could show us exactly what El Alguacil* was talking about? Godammit!!!
