Stripped all the peeling decals and gave the frame a thorough going over with the scratch remover compound - has definitely seen to a little of the rust and given the paint some life. Vintage Deore cranks fitted along with the superstar ring as suggested by @t0-ster - pleased to note these are cnc’d in the UK 🇬🇧. Quite liking the stone chip patina on the tubes. Also headset stripped and degreased- worn but in reasonable nick considering nearly 25yrs old. LBS sadly mystified by the idea of 22mm rim tape and certainly not in stock so back to the internets for that I guess...
